Tradesmin Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Tradesmin platform (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information. Name, email address, phone number, business name, and password when you create an account.
  • Business Information. Company name, address, trade type, license numbers, and tax identification numbers.
  • Employee Information. Names, contact details, hourly rates, work schedules, and other HR-related data entered by authorized Business administrators.
  • Customer Information. Names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and project-related details for your clients.
  • Job and Project Data. Job descriptions, task details, schedules, estimates, invoices, change orders, photos, and notes.
  • Payment Information. Billing address and payment method details processed through our third-party payment provider. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data. Pages visited, features used, actions taken, timestamps, and session duration.
  • Device Information. Browser type, operating system, device type, screen resolution, and unique device identifiers.
  • Log Data. IP addresses, access times, referring URLs, and error logs.
  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies. We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, and analyze usage patterns. See Section 7 for more details.

  • Enable job management, scheduling, timekeeping, invoicing, and other core business features.

  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • Within Your Business. Information is shared among authorized Users within the same Business account according to their roles and permissions.
  • Service Providers. We use third-party providers for hosting (AWS), payment processing, email delivery, analytics, and customer support. These providers access data only as necessary to perform their functions and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal Requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • Business Transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
  • With Your Consent. We may share information for other purposes with your explicit consent.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.
  • Secure password hashing using bcrypt.
  • Role-based access controls and multi-tenant data isolation.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:

  • Active Accounts. Data is retained for the duration of your Subscription.
  • After Cancellation. We retain your data for 30 days after account cancellation to allow for data export and reactivation. After this period, data is permanently deleted.
  • Legal Requirements. We may retain certain information longer to comply with legal, tax, or regulatory obligations.
  • Aggregated Data. Anonymized and aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for analytics and product improvement.

6. Your Rights and Choices

  • Correction. Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.

11. Data Deletion & Regulatory Rights

If you signed up using a third-party login (Facebook, Google, or Twitter/X), you can also request deletion of data received from that provider. Facebook/Meta users can initiate automated deletion directly through their Facebook settings.
